Learn as Team
"Teams, not individuals, are the fundamental learning unit in modern organizations. This is where the "rubber stamp meets the road"; unless teams can learn, the organization cannot learn."
Peter Senge
How you can use team learning as a lever for realizing a learning, agile and living organization.
With SOL we focus on learning as a person, as a team, as an organization and as a society. To support this, we also pay attention to Learning Leadership and Learning Culture. This integrated approach leads to a more learning, agile and living organization.
The greatest value creation for the organization takes place in teams. Team learning is therefore the lever to achieve such an organization.
There are two 'types' of teams that can be managed. The regular teams/departments that are often active in the primary process for an indefinite period of time. The leadership program "Learning Leadership" is geared to this.
In addition, there are temporary teams that are created to tackle specific problems, ambitions or assignments. For this we have the Learning Practice teams at SOL developed .
Learning Practice Teams are the engine for innovation and renewal within organisations. Especially when it comes to solving complex problems or realizing exceptional ambitions or assignments.
The challenge for organizations is to realize such a team-learning process not just once, but sustainably. From the realization of a single water lily to a ditch full of blooming water lilies

SOL Nederland supports the creation of a learning culture in which participants acquire skills 'on the job' with which they can participate sustainably in new (work) situations, in order to solve challenging issues there, in a continuously changing society.
Patrick Bijman (chairman of the Organization Learning NL Foundation)
To help organizations develop Team Learning, we as SOL have developed four tools. These are listed above and are explained in more detail below.
SOL Community: Free (online) Introductory Workshop Learning as a Team.
We regularly organize a free introductory workshop about Learning as a Team with SOL (on average once every 3 months).
In an online session of 1.5 to 2 hours, the participants gain insight into the way of Team Learning based on the five disciplines of Peter Senge (The 5'th Discipline) & the growth of teams from M1 to M4 (understanding from Marijke Lingsma where the M stands for Maturity).
More information about this can be found in this link.
SOL Pro: Guidance, coaching & training
Organizations that want to work independently with the Team Learning concept can receive guidance through SOL. Various support is provided. From team coaching to a community of practice.
More about the SOL Pro offer in this link.
SOL Support: In Company Team Learning trajectory
Many organizations opt for an In Company process. They see the added value of Team Learning and want to develop and secure this concept in the organization.
We as SOL emphasize the distinction between regular and temporary teams, and the associated 'solutions'. You can find our methodology in this link.
learnathon
A Learnathon is an (annual) meeting with its own staff where learning projects are started, evaluated and/or terminated. With the help of a Learnathon, employees are personally involved in their own development and that of the organization.
Ideas to Perform & Learn are introduced, discussed and elaborated by the participants themselves.
More information about this can be found in this link.
