one-year Boost your SELF personal mastery program

Starts January 1, 2024

Working on personal and professional mastery in one year, together with one or two colleagues. This with the help of one or more cases or exercises of your choice. With the use of your talents, the peer2peer support of your colleagues and the practical tools and 'on the job' guidance of the Organization Learning Foundation.

Target group: Young Professionals

  • You are a Young Professional with the need to get the most out of yourself.

  • You enjoy working on your personal and professional development. Preferably in practice, on the basis of concrete organizational issues or assignments.

  • You are open to improvement and you also want to help colleagues to get the best out of themselves. Where you realize how important a safe environment is for sincere reflection.

  • Innovation and experiments don't scare you. And you are curious what this yields in terms of insights and results for yourself and for the organization.

  • You want to learn more about your talents and how you can use them more effectively in practice. You like to do this together with others. Where you learn how to (re) know, appreciate and use each other's talents?

  • You should preferably do this in a way in which not theory but practice, in the form of concrete cases or assignments, is central. With professional guidance and support that guarantees an inspiring development process.

  • And you do that in the realization that this is a long-term process that ultimately leads to more effective own behavior and to an improved business result.

Do you recognize yourself in the above? Then you are most welcome in this Personal Mastery trajectory.

Personal Mastery: Why?

Learning is the 'key' to personal and professional development. Good for yourself, but also for the organization. She becomes more flexible and can respond more quickly to opportunities and threats.

And, who wouldn't want to work on their own personal and professional development? Especially if this happens in practice and also leads to concrete results!

In addition, you like to work for an organization that offers room for employees to develop.

Personal Mastery: How?

We give you insight into your talents. You will use this for a task- or result-oriented case of your choice.

Do this using the following Power Skills:

  • Me and myself (Ownership): You make personal choices, both professionally and privately. Which case is being worked on? And which talents do you use for this?
  • Me and the other (Together): The peer2peer reflection conversations are important. What insights do you get from your colleague? But also, what insights do you give your colleague?
  • Me and the system (Systems Thinking): You are challenged to think 'bigger'. Are there deeper causes? How is everything connected? Are you working on sustainable solutions? Can you make the transition from problem-oriented to development-oriented thinking and acting?
  • Me and the doing (Action): Everything you learn is of little use if you don't apply it in practice. The real learning is in doing.

Personal Mastery: What?

The result of this approach is both personal and professional.

  • On a personal level you work on your Personal Effectiveness. By using your talents in a targeted manner, you are more selective in what you do and more effective in how you do it. This enables new, effective behavior to be successfully applied by you in practice and recognized and recognized by your colleagues and management.
  • In the business area, we work for a year on (several) own assignments or cases. Progress in this area will, of course, depend on the scope and efforts. But with the support provided, a business outcome is very likely. In addition, you have gained a better insight into your own talents and those of your colleagues and you have been able to use them, under supervision, in your own work practice.

We at SOL are experts in personal, team and organizational development. With the focus on creating meaningful learning and working environments. These form the basis of learning, agile, living organizations that perform optimally and where it is nice to work!

Personal Mastery is about developing the right combination of mindset, skillset & toolset. If everything is 'right', you perform optimally and you are in your flow.

Practice is always central to this (CASE† Theory is important, but ultimately it's about developing new, effective behaviors that lead to improved results in practice.

Personal Mastery Program

This is a one-year program in which you are supported in taking steps in the field of Personal Mastery. A journey of discovery, with an intensive start and an inspiring sequel, which guarantees many new insights and experiences.

With the help of coaches and specialists, you will be helped to explore the edges of your comfort zone.

Note: This route is only accessible if you sign up together with one or two other colleagues. This greatly increases the chances of achieving sustainable results. Because, in the end, it's all about developing new behaviour! Not easy, if you're on your own.

Every year 'major maintenance'

We organize a total of 5 live meetings during one year. Each meeting lasts four hours (between 1 and 5 pm). In the first meeting you will work on your qualities (Strength finder test), with writing your first Learning Contract (an agreement with yourself about your learning objectives) and with your first case (in which learning objectives are stated in addition to KPIs). .

You enter this development process as a duo or trio with whom you have weekly peer-2-peer discussions. In the kickoff meeting we will teach you how best to conduct these conversations and what support you can count on from our side.

At the end of the year you do 'major maintenance'. How did you develop yourself? Are you still in the right place? Or is it time for a step inside or outside the organization where you work?

A learning contract every quarter

In the second, third and fourth meetings, the focus is on progress. Every quarter you enter into a new apprenticeship contract with yourself. With the use of your qualities and with the support of tools such as the learning diary, weekly peer2peer reflection and case guidance, you can achieve a lot in practice.

In the concluding fifth meeting there is reflection (reality check), with a focus on the (near) future. Are you still with the right organization? In the right place? What will you do with what you have learned? How can you help others to develop themselves?

Consultation with your coach every month

In between there are monthly online sessions with your coach. One (new) learning goal is always central, in which you indicate how you will apply it in the case/assignment and what this will yield you (personally & professionally). It's hard to do all this on your own. We therefore recommend using the proven 3 x 3 x 3 method. Working with two other colleagues for three months on (each) three learning objectives.

Peer-2-peer consultation every week

Weekly you have a peer-2-peer meeting with your colleague or colleagues to learn from, with and from each other. You are in fact always engaged in entering into / undergoing new activities. Looking for the edges of your comfort zone. By continuously 'forcing' yourself to do new things, your learning will accelerate. This is not always easy. In fact, it is often very difficult. But with the help of your colleagues you can come a long way!

Every day learning diary

Under the motto "One learning a day; what do you do with it?" write down your most important learning experiences and insights on a daily basis. The most important question, of course, is what do you do with what you have learned? So, the moment you describe the learning experience you are not done yet. By writing down what you are going to do with what you have learned, you automatically create a new experiment or growth moment.

The power of "TOGETHER"

This program is only accessible with simultaneous registration of two or three participants.

The power of SAMEN is so strong that we require that you can only participate if 2 or 3 participants/colleagues register at the same time.

In this joint learning process you are a student and a coach at the same time. You are asked to provide your colleague with good reflection. And to stimulate him or her to look for the edges of the comfort zone.

Not an easy task, but also an enormous quality that we would like to guide you in to develop.

Your supervisors

You will be guided in this development program by Nicolette Groen & Patrick Bijman.

Nicolette is a specialist in the field of coaching and talent management. She focuses in particular on the aspect of personal development.

Patrick is a specialist in action learning and business assignments. He focuses in particular on the professional development aspect.
